Below you will find detailed descriptions of our holiday cottages. The cottages are roomy, well-equipped, and, what is most important for us, ideally located right on lake Niemijärvi. They are furnished with with all the basic household appliances, tableware and cooking/eating utensils.
Your own rowing boat as well as firewood for fireplace usage are provided free of charge. You can always park your car right next to the cottage. The neighbouring cottages are situated far enough (80-300 meters) to guarantee complete privacy yet they are close enough to negate any feelings of total isolation.
Upon agreement, we will provide you with the bedlinen and help you with the transporation needs.
The shortest booking time during the summer season is normally one week. The cottages 103-105 are suitable for families with small children whereas from cottages 101 and 102 there is a magnificent view over the lake.
In each cottage there is an info-foulder containing detailed information about the cottage itself, local services and special attractions like the local open air dance hall and food market as well as the various cultural attractions.
Our cottages are located a mere 45-minute drive from the town of Tampere which is the largest finland city of the Nordic countries with a population of approximately 200 000. Tampere was founded in 1779 on the banks of the Tammerkoski Rapids (one of Finland´s official national scenic areas) connecting the two large lakes Nasijärvi and Pyhäjärvi.
Tampere is the scene of several interesting sights, international festivals and cultural attractions and, of course, good shopping possibilities. We especially recommend the Särkänniemi Amusement Park (with the 168-meter Näsineula Observation Tower and a Delphinarium shows).
Tampere is also well-known because of the Pyynikki Ridge and the Pyynikki red-brick Observation Tower between lake Näsijärvi and lake Pyhäjärvi, Pispala suburb (a designated preservation area) and the scenic lake cruises. The luxurious Spa Nokia Eden is located a 15-minute-drive east of Tampere.
